What is the best shampoo for my leg hair :) ?

Any other products that you can recomend?

Thank you for the help! :)

Good night! :)What is the best shampoo for my leg hair :) ?
You're cracking me up today, Moon!

I like Finesse - it adjusted the conditioning levels so you always stay smooth and silky!

Works great for back hair too! What is the best shampoo for my leg hair :) ?

What about a Brazilian wax?.....no pun intended, my Brazilian friend :-).

Otherwise, *meh*, why not do what I do? Put it in a braid and don't sweat it :-) :-). Can always move to a cold country? It'll serve a purpose, then ;-). Everyone shivering, Moon, warm as heck. All jealous of your soft, golden locks :-).

Hee-hee :-) :-)
Each style needs a different product. For simple braiding I don't remember the article saying washing was important, but for Afros and Mohawks you'll need something to build body.

Dying all that hair could prove costly too, and could cause skin reactions...

Good night!
take your pick

hahaha your funny!! good night to you to!!
You should just braid them thats what the girls do in my country lol some have deadlocks on the legs and underarms' and it's so cute..
lolz ummm how about dove...its nice and silky...never heard people using shampoo on the legs though, does it have a good effect, i might try it out too =)!
seriously???

i think u more need brazilian wax then shampoo
shave them.

you shouldnt have that much hair on your legs to wash it.

ick.
Head and Shoulders and Legs, Lol.
Try using Ray Zore.....nothing else quite like it......I am afraid that Braiding could limit mobility......
wash and go
i recommend nexxus organics...that's what i use, and the hair on my legs has never been shinier...lol

Why do men use so much shampoo to wash their hair when they have so little hair?

my partner uses twise as much shampoo as i do my hairs long and his is not only short but thin as well

its so fustrating and such a waste

why do men do this? Why do men use so much shampoo to wash their hair when they have so little hair?
How is it that you group all men together? I use about a tablespoon of shampoo...a 16oz bottle of shampoo laasts me over 6 months...and yes I shower and wash my hair everyday.

Why are women such terrible drivers? Why do men use so much shampoo to wash their hair when they have so little hair?
they arnt anal abut using the smallest amount

they think it isnt importanat

they look at their lives and think, how could anyone be concerned with how much shampoo anyone uses

they think that they have a life to live why waste your time
Hahaha, men like to annoy girls by using up all the shampoo, they know we like to use it.... sometimes they just like to look good....but that is probably not the case for you!
You sound like one of those old ladies that one day snaps and stabs her husband to death for squeezing the toothpaste tube from the middle instead of the bottom.
maybe he just enjoys putting so much shampoo that's all.

or he wants his hair to smell really good, anyway you could always ask him. goodluck with that.
My boyfriend doesn't use shampoo and as a result his hair doesn't smell to great. Just be happy he has good smelling hair.
Doesn't happen in our household. If anything, we have to get on my son to use enough. Must be your guy.

  • Does dandruff shampoo help prevent hair loss?

They do because when the scalp is dry then your hair becomes weak and then it breaks easily. I'm not sure if it prevents hair loss like from old age but I would think it would put it off a bit longer because it strengthens your hair. Just any shampoo that makes your hair stronger would be good for you. Check the back of the shampoo bottles at the supermarket they will tell you everything it has.Does dandruff shampoo help prevent hair loss?
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can

reduce hair fall and make it healthier.. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home

Shampoo and conditioner for my hair? to help straighten and make it softer?

i have really curly thick hair, and i want a shampoo and conditioner that will soften it and straighten it a little bit, and make it easier to straighten. thanks =)Shampoo and conditioner for my hair? to help straighten and make it softer?
Embrace your curls! try deva curl it really defines the curl so you don't look frizzy! also, if you like straight her try getting a chi flat iron they are the best! Good Lcuk!!!Shampoo and conditioner for my hair? to help straighten and make it softer?
I LOOOOOVE Aussie products, I swear by them, just not the cleanse and mend conditioner. I suggest you try an aussie shampoo like cleanse and mend because it's gentle and softens your hair (trust me I know) and a their sleek frizz free conditioner. (just look for ingredients that end with cone and it'll be frizz free and make your hair shiny) and about every month-month and a half give yourself a deep conditioning treatment from sallys beauty supply called ION deep penetrating hair reconstructing conditioner, especially since you have curls, this stuff is amazing, it's in a little pink and white packet for $1. GOOD LUCK
LaCouple straightening products are AMAZING. I've been using them for about a year now I think. I have wavy/sometimes frizzy hair, and with these I can blowdry my hair and straighten it, or scrunch my hair some and let it air-dry. I use the shampoo and conditioner, then a mix of the serum and the balm.

Here's the site. It's ';Shine and Smooth';. http://www.lacoupe.com/
i have the same problem.. my hair is really thick but shampoo doesn't seem to make a difference. i bought this hair dryer that straightens it from wet and it's really good, keeps it soft too but for the thickness, i'd try going to the hairdresses and asking them to thin it out because that's what i did and it felt alot thinner and softer.
If you have a Lush store by you (or you feel like ordering online), their ';Godiva'; solid shampoo will make your hair SO soft and shiny. It's amazing! I also like Herbal Essences (which is really nice and cheap) and Biolage for giving me soft, silky hair.
    Heat is your enemy!

Choose a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Wash in warm, NOT hot, water, rinse, put in conditioner, leave in while you finish showering. Rinse conditioner with COLD water, as cold as you can stand it.

If you blow dry- use a low setting.
i use pantene for urban women, the shampoo and conditioner, and garnier fructisse smooth %26amp; sleek shampoo and conditioner. a trick is when you put conditioner in your hair, when you rinse it out, dont rinse it all out, leave some of it in.
not sure if this will help but in the mornings (i take showers at night.) i use batiste dry shampoo (u can get it @ sally's beauty supply). but i have naturally straight hair, so it might not work the same. but it's worth a try! good luck!
For shampoo and conditioner try Herbal Essences. It's the pink bottles, I think. And Also get Loreal Paris HOT, it's a heat activated creme that protects your hair from heat damage and helps to straighten it.
I love Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner.
Sunsilk, in the pink bottle, for dry and damaged hair. I have curly, frizzy, unmanagable hair, and it works great for me!
fruitice is really good for my hair because its super curly and it helps a little to calm it down and i makes it nice and soft.
No shampoos or conditioners can help straighten your hair, but getting a good intensive conditioner can certainly make it softer.
Sleek Looks by Matrix or Redken Smooth Down shampoo and conditioner followed by the heat glide as a protectant to flat iron the hair
try using a shampoo called FRUCTIS for unmanageable hair. its excellent also try using the leave-in cream
shampoos and conditioners wont make your hair straight but use herbal Essenes moisture (its in a blue bottle) it will make your hair soft and shiny
Garnier sleek works well for us, also check with salon for suggestions.
    herbal essances dangerously straight.
SUNSILK (TLC. ITS THE PINK ONE)
Redken All Soft is supposed to be good, though I haven't tried it myself.
pantene sleek and shine its got green letters

and of course a flat iron
i like pantene pro v keeps my hair soft

Best blonde hair conditioner/shampoo for boys?

my brother keeps dying his hair platinum blonde which makes it brittle,

he asked me to buy him some shampoo and conditioner so i was going to buy tigi dumb blonde duo or john frieda.

tigi is kind of expensive and apparently john frieda is crap?

advice please?Best blonde hair conditioner/shampoo for boys?
Well, your bro could use some women shampoo.. you know like the hydrating ones.

Tell him to put fructose conditioner (It works really good!) in while he's showering with a showercap ontop. Leave it in for like 3 minutes or any time he wants. RInce it with cold water.

It'll be supersoft!Best blonde hair conditioner/shampoo for boys?
There is no difference between male and female hair so it doesnt have to be 'for boys'

TIGI products look flashy but really are not worth the money. I suggest getting some tresemme deep conditioners (resurection and moisture rich) tell him to smother his hair with conditioner and then wrap his head in cling film. This will treat his hair and it will improve the condition. If he did these every other day for a week (shampooing/conditioning as normal after) his hair would feel so much better and he can cut down to doing it once a week and then once every two weeks

He should leave it on for no less than 4-5 hours (the longer the better though)

I dyed my hair quite alot and this is how i keep it in good condition

(cling film is vital to the treatment, it stops the conditioner from drying on the hair, once conditioner dries it stops working. so he needs to use clingfilm to keep the treatment going)
    suave
If he was a real man then his hair would wash, cut, style and dry it's self.

How many times should a person use shampoo & conditioner, while washing their hair, during a week?

should we ALWAYS use shampoo %26amp; conditioner when we bathe?thanks! :)How many times should a person use shampoo %26amp; conditioner, while washing their hair, during a week?
There's no set rule. Depending on how oily %26amp; dirty your hair gets is how often you should wash it.

My hair is extremely dry, so 2 times a week is perfect for me. However, bathing is an EVERY DAY thing. If your hair is looking perfect %26amp; you know that washing it would ruin it, wrap it up in something or use a cap when you get in the shower/bath so you don't expose it to steam %26amp; frizz it out. BTW, conditioning is a big YES, no matter what hair type you have. You need that protection, especially if you style w/ heat. Use a leave-in product after, as well.

Also, you should check into several ';Dry Cleaning'; products that are on the market. These are products that you can spray or massage into your hair between shampoos, so that your hair %26amp; scalp stays fresh %26amp; you're not stripping it w/ water %26amp; shampoo too often.

Cheers!! Happy hair days, everyone! How many times should a person use shampoo %26amp; conditioner, while washing their hair, during a week?
u sould shampoo evey day becuse that cleans your head and hair but u sould use conditioner every othre day tresseme,Dove shampoo, panten they really make your hair look like you just go you hair done
actually its not good for your hair to wash it everyday , Id say every other day .

Some shampoos strip your hair from its natural oils .
i use them every day and yes u should always use them who doesnt
    shampoo 3 times and conditioner1
I wash my hair with both every day. But my hair gets oily quick. I think it is better for your hair to just wash it every other day.
For women of color it's no more than once a week. For us too much washing and conditioning our hair causes us to lose the natural oils from our hair.
Actually it depends on your hair type ; if u have say oily hair then u should not apply conditioner onto the roots but only along the length of ur hair and oily hair gets messy so according to how oily ur scalp is u can wash ur hair either on alternate days or even evryday if the need be.

If u have dry hair then conditioner is a must must for you. Shampooing is necessary when u feel ur scalp has accumulated dirt etc n make sure evytime u shampoo u condition ur hair as well.

Most importantly u should take care that u use the right type of conditioner i mean the one tht suits ur hair type

Never buy shampoo/conditioner according to ur frnd's choice , evrybody has diffrent hair n u must choose what suits YOU best

    Hope this was enough :-)

U cn ask me nething wheneva!!
    yes.
I have oily hair the more I wash it. I now wash my hair every other day and use conditioner everytime. You can always shampoo your hair just once instead of twice like the bottle says and it won't dry out as much.
Depends on your hair type. If your hair is very dry wash every other day to prevent from drying it out further. Especially if you put alot of heat on your hair, such as blow-drying, flat iron etc. If your hair is more oily wash everyday. I reccomen using conditioner whenever you wash. It keeps hair softer and more managable.
    When you Bathe use both!!!
Washing your hair every day can be very damaging. I have heard it's best to do it every other day. My brother actually hasn't used Shampoo or Conditioner in over two years--he doesn't think it's necessary. His hair actually doesn't look bad at all. I wouldn't quite take it that far myself, but I had to point that out.
use very little shampoo, if any at all, there is enough detergent in conditioner to clean most hair types.

    bathe everyday

condition 2-3 times a week if that much.
    3 times a day,not always use both

Dawn and shampoo to detangle hair?

My niece has very long, think, kinky (polynesian) hair and was told to wash her hair with shampoo and Dawn dish soap. Has anyone ever heard of this? For curly, kinky, long hair??? please help!Dawn and shampoo to detangle hair?
I have never heard of this. I would think stripping all the oils from the hair (which is what Dawn would do) would be horrible and make the hair poofy and frizzy from being horribly dry. I think the results would look like she stuck her finger in a proverbial light socket.

My daughter has thick curly hair and we use a heavy conditioner made for curly hair and don't fully rinse it all out, then to style it I use suave detangler spray and pantene smoothing lisser all over her hair and comb that through with a special detangler comb.

Then to finish it off I use two anti-frizz cremes, one is thick, it's by pantene also and I apply it to the curliest sections (her temples) and the thinner one is called Secret Weapon, by John Frieda (Frizz-Ease line) I apply all over.Dawn and shampoo to detangle hair?
Never heard of that. I mean you can try something called a relaxer I think you will be thrilled with the results. It is a chemical though my mother has used it on me since I was really young. Cream of Nature or maybe for your niece you can get just for kids. Its great and heres how to ';wrap the hair'; It keeps it nice in the morning.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0ZuPj389鈥?/a>
if her hair is curly you shouldn't use shampoo at all, or keep it to a minimum of once a week. just condition it everyday. dawn dish soap dries out the hair really bad making more tangles. if you want advice or tips on curly hair try naturallycurly.com its really helped me out. good luck!
Dont use that! It sounds harsh. Just use this as a detangler.

mix 1/2 olive oil %26amp; 1/2 water. Shake it up after the shower and use like a leave in treatment or over-night treatment. And wash out next day. My east -indian friend taught me that, and her hair was incredible amazing smooth and shiny and perfect
Dawn will remove built up grease but will do nothing for detangling-I've never heard of using it for that purpose before.Dawn also kills fleas on pets.If her hair has built up styling products or oils it may be helpful but not for making combing easier.

Does horse shampoo make your hair grow faster and prettier? lol?

I cant tell if its a myth or not...I also read it makes your hair thick so what happens if someone with thick hair uses it? lol Will it double the thickness?? Hahaha Im soo clueless %26gt;_%26lt;Does horse shampoo make your hair grow faster and prettier? lol?
I use Mane %26amp; Tail shampoo (haven't tried the conditioner yet) and I really like it. Usually my hair only feels soft for one day after after I wash/condition it; when I use Mane %26amp; Tail, it feels soft for 2 or 3 days (by then I usually wash it again!).

one of the posters said average hair growth is 1-2'; per month. average is much more like 1/2-1'; per month. just wanted to point this out so no one panics, thinking their hair is growing abnormally slowly!

as another poster said, anything you put ON your hair won't make it grow faster. however, certain nutrients can help your hair grow faster/not fall out as much. my hair only ever grew about 1/2'; per month; about a year ago i started taking biotin (5mg per day) and my hair now grows 1'; per month. my hair is also much thicker, as it stopped falling out so much.

i'm happy with the biotin but i also started taking (food grade) diatomaceous earth a couple of weeks ago. it's primarily silica, which is good for hair growth as well as skin %26amp; nails. my hair has grown 1/2'; in the last week!

just yesterday i went to a farm supply store because i wanted to try one of the detanglers (for horses). out of curiosity i also picked a sulfur treatment that is supposed to help grow hair faster, get it growing again on bald spots/scars, and help with all sorts of skin conditions. it's sold in the equine section but it was originally formulated in the 1930's for men as a baldness remedy. you can find lots of testimonials online; google ';shapley's mtg';.

good luck!Does horse shampoo make your hair grow faster and prettier? lol?
Okay, just for the record, horse shampoo WILL not make your hair grow faster. Nothing you put on your hair (which is dead material by the time it's at the surface) will make it do so. The deal with horse shampoo is that it is heavily conditioning, thus improving the strength of the hair you already have, so that it won't break as easily, allowing you to grow it longer than if you used regular shampoo. It's not magic, just conditioning. You're hair will continue to grow at the same rate it always has. Like I said though, it can improve your hair's overall condition, so it's nothing to shake a stick at. As far as buying it, Mane'N'Tail is now for sale at most supermarkets. If not, you can go into any feed, tack, or pet stores and find various brands. There is also a spray on conditioner called Show Sheen, that will make your hair very slick and smooth (and is smells kinda nice, too).
i would think that it may make your hair grow faster but not by alot. probally because some of the chemacals in it for the horses.

i don't think it would thickin your hair. it just might make it a bit more course.

    hope i helped :)
I think it is a myth, I don't believe anything can make someones hair grow faster, hair will grow at its usual pace 1-2'; per month. Hope this helped a lil'.
it makes it look, feel, and smell like horse hair.
    Thats funnyas heck. lol
    what ana said :)

Know of a good shampoo/conditioner for thin hair?

Okay, so I have incredibly thin, flat hair. There's not a whole lot I can do with it. I mostly just put a little product in it, and let it's natural ';curl'; take over. It's not so nice. I just want to know of a really good shampoo/conditioner that will actually give me some strength and body to my hair. It's so thin that in certain parts it almost looks as though I'm balding... which I hope I'm not. Any help will be greatly appreciated.Know of a good shampoo/conditioner for thin hair?

    Hey Guy,

You didn't mention your age; so I will just assume that you are young enough to do something about your situation (condition).

Putting your faith in a ';good'; shampoo is comparable to offering a good meal to already deceased people. I know. I have spent a lifetime doing just that.

Right now, there is a glut of new products that seem to offer relief.

My advice is to keep trying till you find the one that works for you.

Go with the strongest guarantee on the lowest priced product.

I've seen some that offer a 100% guarantee; as well as a free sample.

Is Dove shampoo good for hair?

I wanted to know if Dove shampoo is good for hair, does it make hair healthy?ThanksIs Dove shampoo good for hair?
    Definitely not.

Believe it or not, it made my hair fall out.Is Dove shampoo good for hair?
Dove products caused my periods to stop and my hair to fall out (Ammonium Xylene-Sulfonate) and caused blisters on my spouse's hands and scalp (Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate). It took us a years to figure out what was causing it, but it's better now that we stopped using it. Xenoestrogens are bad. Report Abuse

    sure it does
    Yea. it works good.
I use Dove shampoo because I love the smell.
Definitely. I have really thick, long dark brown hair and it makes it sssooo shiny and amazingly soft. It also smells really pleasant and really conditions your hair. Their shampoo makes it easier to detangle hair even when it is wet and gives me tons of volume after I blow dry!!

Help!! I 've got curly hair. What is the best shampoo and conditioner I can buy for under 20?

Sometimes I like to wear it straight, sometimes naturally curly.

I am looking for something to reduce frizz and where I live it's been extremely humid lately.

Any other anti-frizz serums and products that will make it shiny and smooth our also helpful, but I don't wanna spend a fortune.

THanks.Help!! I 've got curly hair. What is the best shampoo and conditioner I can buy for under 20?
I read a book about having curly hair, and it said that people with curly hair should actually shampoo it less than other people, because the shampoo strips out the natural oils. This website: http://www.haircareguide.com/curly.htm has some good tips, too. Good luck!Help!! I 've got curly hair. What is the best shampoo and conditioner I can buy for under 20?
ok go buy sun silk in the pink bottle along with the 24/7 creme and wash your hair with the shampoo and conditioner and then towel dry your hair flip it upside down rub the creme in your hands and brush it out when you flip your head over you if you want it straight just keep brushing it till your hair is dry and if you want it curly just let it dry naturally dont blow dry it that is the best stuff i have found out there i started using it the other day and love it there are no fly aways or anything
    john frieda or tresemme
I find that the rare stuff works best..

well i use mixed chicks to cure the dryness.. the conditioner is soo awesome.. and a leave-in comes with it. www.mixedchicks.net i think u can buy all of them for $20

and u might find some other stuff that might work for your hair at www.curlmart.com
shampoo and conditioner: garnier fructis.. or herbal essences hello hydration...

serums: john frieda frizz-ease shine serum..
use pantene for frizz and use defining curls spray on by L.A.Looks
all the dove products are great . I have really curly hair to and cannot let mine air dry . If you want to spend a little more go to Your regis salon or the salon they have in the walmart super centers and they care a product by design line called Olive oil . get the shampoo and conditioner . You will tell a major difference in a week .
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU BUT I USE TRESAMAY SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER THEN I TOWEL DRY AND PUT MOOSE IN THEN USE THE DIFFUSER ON THE HAIR DRYER. HOPE IVE HELPED. WORKS TOO WEN YOU STRAIGTEN WITH STRAIGHTNERS BUT LEAVE OF THE MOOSE AND DIFFUSER AND USR HEAT DIFFENCE INSTEAD.
For curly hair I suggest trying the Herbal Essence stuff, it's pretty cheap and although I don't have curly hair, I have read on here that it usually works the best and it smells really good too. Now, for the frizz part, I know from personal expierence that Dove shampoo and conditioner made for black women helps alot but I don't know about people with curly hair. After your hair is dry (or damp, either one) if you use John Freida FRIZZ EASE Serum, your hair will look completely healthy and nourished and frizz free. I love that stuff!

  • Why would a two in one shampoo and conditioner ruin my hair so horribly?

I used to use one of those and I figured because there was a mix of so many chemicals, herbs, oils, and extra things like for smell and color, that it just wasnt the right mix and therefore it ruined the texture and it made the ends of my hair reaallly weak. Why would a two in one shampoo and conditioner ruin my hair so horribly?
The mixture of oils and harsh chemicals that help shampoo and conditioner mix make hair more vulnerable, so I suggest not being lazy and doing it one at a time. :)

I want to make my son's hair curly, what kind of perm, shampoo or hair product do i need?

Oh poor kid. Don't do it.I want to make my son's hair curly, what kind of perm, shampoo or hair product do i need?
how old if your son before putting perms and things in his hair because you could ruin your child's hair for lifeI want to make my son's hair curly, what kind of perm, shampoo or hair product do i need?
Whatever you decide to do, don't perm it. It's one of the most damaging things you can do to hair. There are shampoos for curly hair, but if your son doesn't already have curly or wavy hair, it probably won't do anything. Tresemme makes a mousse for curly hair that you could possibly try, but I think that without, atleast, a natural wave to the hair, it won't work.
y cant your son decide if he wants curly hair or not???...........

Is There A Shampoo Or Conditioner For Men That Dyes Ur Hair Black?

Why don't you just go buy a dye?Is There A Shampoo Or Conditioner For Men That Dyes Ur Hair Black?
not a shampoo, but Revlon makes a temporary hair color ';Fancifull Temporary Colour Rinse'; that you comb into wet hair. Washes out with shampoo, but be careful of light hair. It may stain and take a few good shampoos to wash out.

What is the best shampoo and hair cream for girls?

  • Whats a good shampoo and conditioner to use on pretipped human hair extensions? Also can you backcomb them?

You always want to use a sulfate free shampoo on human hair extentions. I like Pureology or Enjoy product lines. L'anza just came out with a new product called Healing Moisture Tamanu Cream Shampoo and Kukui Nut Conditioner. It's sulfate free and works great on my extensions. Then I always use CHI Silk Infusion as a leave in.

I can't comment on how you will be able to style your hair for the best longevity as I don't know the quality of the hair you've purchased. I always tell people who want to wear hair extensions that it's best to invest in top quality hair because it works easily and you can wear it for up to a year. If your hair is not the best quality.....it may have mis-matched cuticle or be over processed Asian hair........you will be more limited as to the styling and it will tangle horribly. It you don't have too many problems with tangles......then tease it till it stands up! :o)

Are Tresemme hair shampoos and conditioners good?

I recently bought some to try it out and they smell good but i haven't tired them yet.

How are they? :)Are Tresemme hair shampoos and conditioners good?
When these products first came out back in the early 90's, I bought them. I then noticed, within the first week that my hair would fall out by the hand fulls, every time I showered and used Tresemme. I discontinued it and went back to my regular shampoo/conditioner, and I didn't loose any more hair. I again bought Tresemme about a year later and the same thing happened. Years later I found out that the same thing happened to my sister, and other people that I know. The same thing happened again to me with Dove Shampoo/conditioner, I contacted the company and they sent me certificates to get my regular shampoo for free.

What can I do about my hair??? SHampoo?

My hair is dark red, long, very thick, and the tinyest bit coarse. Every time I wash it, leave it down at nigh, I wake up and its all ripply, coarse and gross. If i put is in a pony tail I have a big kink. I use some off brand Kirklast signature shampoo and conditioner from Costco. How can I get sleek, smooth, hair while still keeping is wavy. try a new shampoo and conditioner. you probably need a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. try garnier, pantene, or head and shoulders. they are highly recommended from people (have used garnier and pantene). and try blow drying your hair before going to bed. What can I do about my hair??? maybe use a different shampoo and conditioner brand. i use pantene :)

and after taking a shower, blow dry your hair while brushing your hair.

Does Bed Head Tigi Control Freak Shampoo work to get your hair straight?

i have thick wavy hair and i want to get it straight without damaging it with a straightener!!! i have tried herbal essence dangerously straight and it didnt work that well :( so does this one work or is it just another waste of moneyDoes Bed Head Tigi Control Freak Shampoo work to get your hair straight?
sorry there is not much you can do. you could put it up when you get out of the shower and tie it tight with a hair band at the top and bottom then when its dry it will be straighTER but you could only wear it up like this cos you will have a bumpat the top from the band. you could get it chemically straightened which will damage it once but as you said you dont want to damage it.

Whats the best shampoo and conditioner for colored hair?!?!?

I have recently dyed my hair red-auburn color and i used John Frieda Radiant Red stuff. Well it only made my hair color completely fade and look and feel terrible. Ive also tried dove, pantene, herbal essecense and they all make my hair look like crap!

Also has anyone every tried ARTec or Quantem Reds shampoo? Do they work well?

It needs to be something i can get target, grocery store or Sally beauty supply.

have used artec - but very $$$. i love loreal vive for color treated hair -- its great.Whats the best shampoo and conditioner for colored hair?!?!?
my hair is dyed right now and u want 2 use shampoo that has no conidtioner in it.... after a while u can condition your hair but not right away any conditioner will work
It depends upon your hair. All colored hair is not the same, just as all hair of any kind is not the same. You will have to try different shampoos and conditioners and decide what is right for you. In general though, you probably need one of those shampoos and conditioners which strengthen hair since color tends to destroy the hair shaft.

You might also consider a different color treatment next time. That might be the source of your problem. Make certain that it is not a color treatment that fades after several shampoos, unless that is what you want it to do.
    Hurbal essence
neutrogena works really well, and the smell won't knock you out either! You can buy it just about anywhere.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair with if my hair gets really greasy?! HELP .. (: xx?

shampoos that are clear looking work the best for greasy hair, like V05 clarifying. if your hair is very oily, wash hair twice and keep shampoo in for several minutes...and when using conditioner don't put any at the roots. some of the cheaper shampoos work better than the more expensive shampoos because they actually dry your hair out better, because they have less moisturizers in them . when shampooing I would focus on the roots and just let the shampoo run down your hair. i hope this helps :) it works for my hair and it gets oily too! What is the best shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair with if my hair gets really greasy?! • How to make my Hair healthy and strong.right know l am using dove shampoo should l switch shampoo or what.?

Is it breaking? Are you using a good conditioner afterwards?

Dove shampoos are usually good. My basic advice is to reduce shampooing to every other day, max; shampoo can strip out hair's natural oils; always follow up with a rich conditioner. If you play sports and need to shampoo daily, try diluting the shampoo with water. Once a week, apply coconut oil (found in health food stores) on dry hair and leave on for a few hours, and then wash and condition as normal. How to make my Hair healthy and strong.right know l am using dove shampoo should l switch shampoo or what.?
You should buy professional products from your Salon, Yeah its expensive but its a helluva alot better for your hair, Most brands like dove, pantene, sunsilk have more soap and detergents than ingredients that are good for your hair. Garnier and Herbal Essenses are probably the best grocery store labels you can buy How to make my Hair healthy and strong.right know l am using dove shampoo should l switch shampoo or what.?

hey its me alets lol i found you. i use pantene and herbal essenses.lol idk how to spell that!!What shampoo is the best for long, thick hair?
Any shampoo will be fine as long as you use the right shampoo for your scalp. For example, if you have a dry scalp, get a shampoo that has a lot of moisture in it.What shampoo is the best for long, thick hair?
My friend has long, thick hair and she uses Pantene.

Is there a shampoo that will ';flatten'; my hair?

The type of hair I have is ';Asian'; hair - where it grows as straight hair but comes out as thick. Also, going to a salon and using thinning sheers don't help.

Is there a shampoo that will ';flatten'; my hair or ';make it go down';?Is there a shampoo that will ';flatten'; my hair?
No, I'm sorry to say, there is no shampoo that can help in this area.

The only way to get your hair to lay-down, is to ';train'; your hair to grow in a downward direction. This can be accomplished by forcing your hair into this position, every night, wear a tight ';do-rag'; style cap. As you sleep and your hair grows, the hair will be forced to grow down, and this will make the hair pores on your scalp eventually shift into a downward facing direction. Your hair would have to be combed in a down-direction, then while your hair is in this position, put the do-rag on tightly to keep your hair down.

You know how people have a middle or side-part? Even when wet, the hair will want to separate in the place that the person normally parts their hair? This is as a result of the hair pore constantly having the hair going in a certain direction. It will probably take about a month of sleeping this way to see a real difference, and as soon as you STOP using the do-rag, within a few days, your hair will likely start to grow right back in the direction it wants to, straight UP. So this is a lifetime thing basically for you, if you want your hair to just go DOWN.

Your only other option would be to, probably once a month, have a professional haidresser apply a chemical relaxer to your root area, force the hair to go down. Then you wouldn't have to sleep with a do-rag on every night to accomplish this. Only catch is this option would get expensive and it is also rather damaging to your hair, your hair won't be as shiny as it is now. If I were you, I'd try the do-rag route.

Good luck!Is there a shampoo that will ';flatten'; my hair?
Try going to a hairdresser and asking them to thin your hair out - that way you won't have so much hair, and it won't have so much hair.

I have extremely thick hair, I need it thinned twice a month. If it ';doesn't help'; they're not cutting enough hair out or you don't get it done often enough.
Try Tresemme Anti-sponge. I have loads of hair, and it's really good about keeping it under control and not make it look so full.

Is it true that not using shampoo is good for curly hair?

But won't it not clean it????????Is it true that not using shampoo is good for curly hair?
Many people with very curly hair use conditioner to wash their hair (co-washing, or conditioner washing). This gets the hair clean, but it does not remove products that have silicones in them; hard water, and other stuff. Also, after a while the conditioner will start to cause build-up. So, you have to either clarify your hair or use shampoo once in a while to get your hair completely clean. Instead of shampoo some people will use homemade products like baking soda and apple cider to clarify the hair, so they can remove the build-up from the co-washing as well as the particles that don't get removed when co-washing. Others will shampoo their hair a few times a months to get it completely clean. The reason for co-washing is because very curly hair is usually very dry and most shampoos only make it dryer. If you co-wash with a moisturizing conditioner then you can keep a healthy balance of your hair's natural oils. You can also start using an organic shampoo that does not contain SLS (a drying agent in most shampoos), using something that's organic will not dry out curly hair as much.

HTH. Is it true that not using shampoo is good for curly hair?
there is the belief that in order to get your hair clean, you have to use shampoo. you really don't. you can actually use conditioners to clean your hair. this is called the no poo method. it's a pretty common practice with many curly heads. it's kind of like how some people use plain baking soda to brush their teeth vs. using toothpaste. they still get clean without the suds.

having said that, not all shampoos are bad. it depends on the ingredients. because curly hair can be drier than straight hair (since the natural oils have a harder time moving down the hair shaft), it's important to make sure that you use a shampoo that doesn't contain harsh detergents like sodium laureth sulfate (SLS) and ammonium laryl sulfate (ALS).

    Aubrey Organics:

    hope this helps!

What are you talking about? Of course, shampoo is for cleaning. That's why you use it. If you want to make your hair curly, you need to have it clean. Any dirt or grease on it will make it hang down and heavy, and go straighter.

But of course, you only use shampoo when your hair needs cleaning. There's no point in using it if your hair is not dirty!
    NO... please DO!

I think im allergic to all hair shampoo and conditioner?

when I wash my hair I get a really itchy scalp and a rash on my face thats red, raised and also really itches.if i dont wash my hair for a few days the itch goes.the problem is with my hair style I need to wash and straighten my hair every day! Ive tried all shampoos including tgel, oiltrum, head n shoulders, baby shampoo nothing works. Ive even tried an organic shampoo from my local health shop. please help anyone!! all advive would be gratefully recieved.thankyouI think im allergic to all hair shampoo and conditioner?
You are right in your assessment of the reactions that you are getting. Most shampoos are actually detergents and are very strong. Are you using too much? Do you rinse your hair really thoroughly?

Try the mildest of shampoos without using any conditioner. If you still have a reaction, it is definitely the shampoo. You can go to your doctor and ask for a medical shampoo that is anti-allergenic. You could also try good old-fashioned soap if you have no reaction to that, making sure you rinse it out really well, then try the conditioner again. If you have no reaction to the soap but still get the same reaction, you are allergic to the conditioner as well. You could replace that by rubbing a little olive oil between your hands then run them through your hair to give it a shine.

Finally do you need to shampoo your hair that often? You can wash it under plain water and since you are doing so daily it will not be dirty.I think im allergic to all hair shampoo and conditioner?
I used to have a similar problem, but I was able to eliminate all my allergies with a simple acupressure technique! The results are permanent, and it works for any allergy. For more info, check out http://www.allergyzapper.com.
I hope you see a doctor. That's a severe reaction, IMHO.

Have you tried unscented products? Try that and skip the conditioner altogether. See if that helps.

I still hope you see a doctor - you may need to see an allergist.

If you leave shampoo in your hair is something going to happen to your hair ?

No. I have done this before and nothing happened to my hair. If you leave shampoo in your hair is something going to happen to your hair ?
First, it will make your hair hard.

Second, most shampoo has a lot of chemical ingredients (read the bottle); some of these chemicals are harsh and will eventually damage your hair. Your hair has a natural, and delicate, ph balance and you should take steps not to compromise it.

Leaving any harsh chemical agent in your hair for an extended period of time is a very bad idea.

Rinse the shampoo out. Rinse the conditioner out.

If you need detangler or leave-in conditioner they are both specifically formulated NOT to damage your hair. There are all kinds of affordable products out there to help improve the health of your hair.

See a licensed hair stylist or go to the nearest/best cosmetology school in your area for a great deep conditioning and ask their advice for finding the best products for your hair.If you leave shampoo in your hair is something going to happen to your hair ?
notice how there is so many suds and bubbles in shampoo compared to conditioner??? the shampoo is just for cleaning and you should not leave it in coz it wil dry ouy your hair!! remember: anything with suds is drying...

though you can leave conditioner in your hair!!! as long as you want!!! they even have these new ';leave-in conditioners'; for those days when your lazy to wash your hair...

hope that helps... most people i know dont buy conditioner and jus settle for shampoo... if you were to choose between the two you should get conditioner as it does more for your hair then shampoo,

though buying both is the best way to go!
Don't do that. It's not going to damage your hair, but it's not going to help it either. Depending on what shampoo it is, it can be uncombable (yeah I just made that word up ^_^)

Hope you're watching the Pres. Debate!!! :D
it depends on how long you leave it in. it will dry your hair out and scalp and you'll probably get dandruff, but i don't think much more would happen unless you do it a lot.
Your hair will get dry and knotted and your scalp might be itchier. And if you leave conditioner in your hair will be greasy and slippery. Best wash them out, eh?

    =]

You can try this. Beat two eggs and add two tablespoons of water to it. Wet the hair and apply the egg mixture over the hair. Now massage your scalp and let the mixture on for ten minutes to fifteen minutes. Then rinse the hair with lukewarm water. ok...

try using a shampoo with TEA TREE oil in - tea tree is known to bevery good for geasy hair and dandruff and sore itchy scalps.

but because uve said ur scalp is itching when u do shampoo - id avoid stuff like head and shoulders due to the fact tht they contain very strong chemicals which in the end can make the problem worse, esp as it sounds like you have a sensitive scalp.
apply castor oil and seasame oil mixed together for 20 min this helps in the growth of the hair. and also apply curd mixed with lemon juice before washing hair it will make ur hair shiny

check this site for food for hair and to get rid of dandruff

Good shampoo for oily hair that is always ironed.?

Ok, I always wash my hair and iron it and than when it get oily I wash it and iron it again..

Lately my hair is oily after just one day of having it ironed. Is there a good shampoo that can help get rid of this problem??Good shampoo for oily hair that is always ironed.?
People who complain of oily hair are actually complaining of an oily scalp. The hair simply wicks the oil away from the scalp. Straight hair moves the oil quickly away from the scalp while tightly kinked hair moves the sebum very slowly away from the scalp. By Ironing your hair you are helping it get oily quicker.

    That being said:

The key to controlling oily hair is to remove the sebum (natural oils) adequately from the scalp.

When shampooing vigorously scrub your scalp like a massage (If the shampoo is removing large amounts of sebum, it will not foam as much). Shampoo twice if needed.

Good shampoos for oily hair include those that are lighter (not thicker). Any shampoo that says ';for oily'; hair should work. No conditioner is needed.

Another habit that may increase the appearance of oily hair is frequent grooming. Combing and brushing aid in the movement of sebum from the scalp down the hair shaft. The hair should be handled as little as possible.Good shampoo for oily hair that is always ironed.?
Oily hair requires constant beauty maintenance to keep that dull, flat, dirty appearance from taking over every chance it gets. But the trouble is, even if you diligently wash your locks on a daily basis, the excessive grease still has a pesky way of reappearing and making it look like you haven't shampooed in weeks. On top of that, most of the products on the market designed to combat oily hair also contain extremely harsh chemicals, forcing you to damage those locks in the process of deep cleaning them. So is there a natural oily hair care alternative which can fight the problem without creating new ones? There is indeed. Say hello to LUSH's I Love Juicy Shampoo.

LUSH's I Love Juicy Shampoo comes in a clear plastic bottle with a black flip-top lid and is available in three sizes: 3.3 fluid ounces ($7.95), 8.4 fluid ounces ($16.50), and 16.9 fluid ounces ($24.95). As the name might suggest, this formula's list of ingredients is fresh-squeezed to the extreme. Inside you'll find a healthy natural blend of carrageenan gel (seaweed), lemon oil, fresh papaya juice, salt, orange oil, fresh pineapple juice, fresh kiwi juice, and fresh mango juice. The papaya, pineapple, kiwi, mango, and salt deep clean your locks, removing oil and dirt both easily and effectively. Next, the nutrient-rich seaweed adds plenty of softness and manageability. Last but not least, the lemon and orange oils give your hair a high-powered dose of summery shine. And can I just say how wonderful this shampoo smells? It's like a fruit smoothie for your shower. The perfect pick-me-up in the morning!
Well, to me, my hair gets sort of oily fast too, and I use that shampoo that is purple called ';aussie'; Maybe you are not rinsing out the shampoo all of the way, or conditioner. Don't use conditioner every day, it just will gunk up your hair. Also, after you have gotten all of the soap out of your hair, rinse your hair in cold water. It will reduce oiliness. Maybe don't straighten it a lot either. You are only supposed to put heat on your hair 3-4 times a week.
Just get the regular dove or pantene products. they work wonders. maje sure to wash out all of the conditioner, where your hair no longer feels soft in the shower. trust me. then blow dry, after that put in some garnier fruties(sp?) cream thats for anti humidity. it'll work.
Try a clarifiying shampoo. Neutrogena makes one in a pump. Its clear.

It makes my hair so volumized and non greasy. I can finally skip a day!

You may also want to try dry shampoo for touchups.
you should use shampoo thats specialized for oily hair. my friend has oily hair and she uses pert plus shampoo that has light conditioning.

(you shouldn't condition your hair that much if you have oily hair.)
Garnier Fructis shampoo is awesome. I use it cause I have similar probs.

    Salon shampoo for normal hair?

I read all these questions about shampoos and conditioners for dry hair. Some of us need good salon products for normal hair too. I've used Redken before but their normal shampoos are either for normal/fine or normal/dry hair. I need something for simply normal hair and that cleans my hair and scalp but leaves my hair super silky and shiny. I was considering the Joico daily balancing shampoo and conditioner.Salon shampoo for normal hair?
Use Biolage! Their products are amongst the best and the hydra-therapy will keep normal hair soft and silky.Salon shampoo for normal hair?
I hear pureology is absolutely fantastic. I'd check that out.
