Is shampooing hair everyday okay for swimmers?

I'm on swim team and swim everyday. I have read that it is not good for hair to shampoo everyday, but does that rule still apply for swimmers? I feel like the chlorine wouldn't come out of my hair if I didn't wash it after swimming. Is shampooing hair everyday okay for swimmers?
I'm a swimmer too, and I also swim every day. You should definitely shampoo and condition every day, the chlorene could really damage your hair. There's special shampoos and conditioners that are made to remove the chlorine from your hair, so you should use those. I use them, and they work great. Is shampooing hair everyday okay for swimmers?
I also swim everyday, and I usually shampoo after I swim. It's okay to wash your hair everyday.

But use a ';gentle'; shampoo. If you're not sure, ask your skin/hair care specialist, or your hair stylist. You may also go to a salon which stocks hair products, they can tell you the right shampoo.
Yes, Erica is right, that is a good product, but a clarifying shampoo is what you need, and you should do it everyday, actually when you get out of the water so the chlorine doesn't cling to your hair, with that mushy feeling
paul mitchel makes a shampoo called number three that is specifically for swimmers to use everyday and helps clarify and remove the chorline. use that and a conditioner and you're good!
as long as the shampoo doesn't have any sls (sles) or parabens in it
